What to expect at Inn on Randolph
Inn Style and Lodging Options
The original l9th century property, located in Napa’s largest residential historic district, has been transformed from a family residence into a stunning multiple building compound. Set on over one half acre, beautifully landscaped gardens supply a variety of colors and textures to please the eye throughout the year. Lovely terraces and meandering stone paths invite guests to stroll or sit while enjoying Napa’s temperate climate.
Guests have a choice of rooms, suites or cottages. Within the Historic Residence and Cottages are five accommodation types, defined by the variety of amenities they include, room size or layout and level of privacy Each of the historic buildings have been renovated “from the studs up”, ensuring that guests enjoy all the modern conveniences without losing the classic character of the original structures.
Our two newest buildings, the Club and Spa Lounges, were designed to enhance your options for relaxation and pampering, while also providing a comfortable and sophisticated setting for private gatherings, including meetings, weddings and special events. Located within the Historic Residence is a third multi-room area that includes a Game Room, Dining Salon, and Sunroom, leading to the Garden Terrace.
Whether visiting for a romantic rendezvous or attending a business retreat, the attention to detail begins before you arrive. Let us assist you in creating an itinerary, adding a spa pleasure, or selecting a package that will make your stay even more idyllic.
While at the inn, you decide how active or relaxed your days (and nights) will be. Indulge in an afternoon nap in your bungalow, rejuvenate with a luxurious massage or watch a favorite movie while sipping cappuccino in the Club Lounge. When you do venture out, Napa’s revitalized shopping and dining district is within easy walking distance and the wineries for which Napa Valley is famous are only minutes away.

Which Accommodation is Right for You?
A frequently asked question is: “Should I choose the Historic Residence or a Cottage?” While every accommodation is comfortable, well appointed and with a distinctive personality, your personal tastes and desires should determine which is best for you.
A few things to consider:
- The Historic Residence (originally built in the 1860’s) offers a more traditional bed and breakfast experience, with no in-room television (to facilitate those afternoon naps) and a more “social” breakfast, served at individual or community tables in the Dining Salon or on the Garden Terrace. A two story structure with classic architectural details, all rooms except Autumn are on the second floor.
- If you prefer greater privacy and a dazzling array of luxuries, you may be happiest in one of the three cottages, originally built in the late 1930’s. With separate entrances, private gardens or patios and a hot breakfast delivered to your door, this is Wine Country living at its best. Cottages are also a great option when traveling with friends or family. The two larger bungalows feature side by side accommodations, each with its own entrance, king or queen bed, luxury bath and private patio. These can be reserved alone or together, with a double wall and two locking doors for privacy and sound insulation. The Arbor Suite is a self contained bungalow and a popular choice for honeymoons.
